The called...

I had an excellent time with two seminarians (Chris and Vely) who came in to help with my CCD class last night. I enjoyed having them and they greatly contributed to the discussion (we were discussing the necessity of Confirmation, first from the standpoint of Scripture and then proceeding from there) and I was gratified to see them (Vely especially) taking copious notes.

Moral of the story: You can never read the parable of the Prodigal Son too often.

We dismissed the class a bit early, and they stayed behind until well after the bell had rung, discussing and talking. Chris, in particular, liked my rather unusual analogies and asked me to email him with updates! I cannot adequately express how much I admire them and their response to their calling. I pray for them and their ministry, and for all vocations.*
